This trip came at an intersting time in my life. I was laid off from work, contemplating my new direction, and about to turn 40. All these thoughts were with me daily during these travels. But just in case I forgot, there were always signs to remind me.

More than anything, it was nature that made me never want to leave. For some magical reason, nature has a way of making nothing else matter.

Outside the hostel where I stayed in Killarney was O'Sullivan's Bike Rental, so on my first day there I picked up this bike and took a 55km ride through the Gap of Dunloe, a scenic rolling hills ride along timeless roads.

Rainy at times, but none the less beautiful. And what would Ireland be without rain?
